IDPrime 931 card – HID Prox

IDPrime 931 is the name for a hybrid card that includes the IDPrime 930 chip from Thales (formerly Gemalto) together with another technology, in this case HID Prox. It is a plug & play PKI smartcard that provides the necessary security services to implement a strong two-factor logical access and security infrastructure on Windows and other platforms. The IDPrime 930 is a contact interface smart card that supports the ISO 7816 standard, and is Common Criteria EAL6+ certified. This smartcard is FIPS 140-2 Level 2 compliant, a natural replacement for the Gemalto ID Prime MD 830 L2 or L3, with enhanced cryptographic support (including RSA up to 4096 bits and elliptic curve algorithms).

Fully compliant with the latest Microsoft minidriver specifications for use on Windows, without the need for additional middleware, the necessary driver will install automatically and for free, using plug-and-play.

This version includes a built-in contactless HID Prox chip, providing a useful combination that can be used for logical and physical access control and other RFID-based applications.
