The IDBridge CT31 PIV USB reader from Thales (formerly Gemalto) delivers high quality and functionality, in an attractive transparent design. This reader is fully PC/SC and EMV Level 1 compliant. It supports all ISO 7816 microprocessor-based smartcards as well as many popular memory cards.
This model is similar to the IDBridge CT30, with added PIV compliance, primarily for US Government applications (eg reading DOD CAC smartcards).
The reader works with Windows, Linux and MacOS and is perfect for many smartcard-based applications on desktop PCs.
Despite its compact size, the IDBridge CT31 performs strongly. It is ideal for organisations implementing the PIV or CIV standards but is equally applicable for use with other ISO7816 contact smartcards.
