The IDBridge CT700 from Thales is a contact PINpad smartcard reader that provides an enhanced level of PIN code security. Ideal for e-commerce and security conscious corporate environments, the CT700 supports local PIN-entry, safeguarding the code from being transmitted to the PC.
Designed with a tamper-evident housing equipped with security marking, this reader utilises the Thales (formerly Gemalto) PC Core hardware and firmware and is compatible with all types of ISO7816 cards.
The reader is intended for desktop use, and weighted for one-hand card insertion. It offers the same functions as the handheld CT710 that is now at end-of-life.
Compliant with PC/SC 2.0 part 10 for Secure Pin Entry devices, the CT700 features a large 2 line, 17 character display and a user interface that is available in several languages.
